Roko Island Fishing Experience by Helicopter
Roko Island is a part of 274 islands that forms the Torres Strait and one of the few islands of the Torres Strait open to visitors and is located about 750 km north of Cairns. Initially, Roko Island had been set up as a pearl farm but now in parallel with our pearl farming operations, they now run pearl tours, fishing charters and overnight stays.
Our helicopter will collect you from Horn Island (or Bamaga) and fly you over the spectacular blue waters of the Torres Strait. Land at Roko Island where you'll be met by the Island's unofficial "mayor". We'll then have you boarding your own private vessel to head out into the clear, blue waters of the Torres Strait where you could catch coral trout, red emperor, sweetlip, tropical snapper or the highly prized trophy fish the Spanish mackerel.
Head back to Roko where you'll board the chopper back to Horn Island. Or, why not stay a night or two in one of the fantastic glamping tents on Roko and enjoy a Pearl Farm tour the following day?
